Step Two: Set up and Populate Your Training Account

The next step in setting up your training account is to create and populate your new MPDX account.

First, set up an incognito window so that you don't end up in your personal account.  To open an incognito window, start Chrome and click the wrench icon in the top right corner of the screen. Click New Incognito Window and start browsing. Alternatively, you can press Ctrl+ Shift + N to bring up a new incognito window without entering the Chrome settings menu.

To login, go to mpdx.org

Once you have logged into MPDX (using your new fake gmail address as explained in the first article), go to the Connect Services option found under the gear icon. Select Add Account and connect the Test Organization to the Account. (See screenshots below).

Populating your account

Next, email support@mpdx.org and request the "MPDX DataSync Trainer File." This file will generate contacts, contact details, and current donations. It may take up to 24 hours for all of the information to appear. 

Import that file to import test contacts and test donations into your MPDX Trainer account. 

Please be aware that your fake account will not have any tasks in it.  You will have to prepare those tasks yourself.
