How to Set Up the Newsletter Sign Up Function on the give.cru.org site for MPDX users 

  1. Log in to your user profile on give.cru.org
    1. NOTE - This functionality is not currently available to users without an MPDX account.
  2. Go to your Cru staff designation page
  3. Click the Edit Page button
  4. Click the Page Options button
  5. Click on the MPDX Newsletter Form link
  6. Click the Display Newsletter Form? Checkbox

7. Click the Save & Close button on the modal.

8. Click the Done Editing button on your designation page.

9. You can confirm that the newsletter sign up is correctly set up by looking below the big picture on the designation page to see if the Subscribe to Newsletter button is there.

10. You will need to set up the notification to be alerted when a new contact comes into MPDX from this newsletter signup functionality. Go to Notifications and check all the boxes you care about for the notification line highlighted below:

11. When a give site visitor clicks the button, a series of modals will come up asking for First and Last Name, Newsletter Preference (physical, email, both) and then an email address before allowing the visitor to close the modal.

12. Once the donor signs up, the contact and email address will be added to MPDX and a notification will be sent to the staff (if he/she has notifications turned on)
